In Before Times (pre-pandemic) I was taking a spin class that was dynamite. It really helped me work out my anxiety. But those classes don't feel safe to me right now. I do still workout quite a bit... I do light weightlifting, which I LOVE, and I run fairly consistently... about 3-5 3x a week. I also love swimming and was able to do that a handful of times this year. And ROLLER SKATING was something I was really getting into as well. Walking is great too.
Not sure it matters, but I'm 49 and post-menopausal, and am even more active now. If people who are a little older want to try something but are feeling like they can't, they shouldn't be. Just be mindful of your limits, and have fun with it. I got into exercise quite late, but it really has been the only stress reliever I can find.
