Hi, I'm new to anime but like it a lot, So far I have watched Cowboy Bebop, One Punch Man and Mob psych 100. The japanese have a very dry sense of humour that really appeals to me.

i have a metal poster of ryuk from death note on my wall. under that i have a small poster of vash the stampede from trigun. some of my favorite anime are cowboy bebop, psycho pass, space dandy, inuyasha, madoka magica, serial experiments lain, black lagoon, and FLCL.

I started watching Death note on netflix I'm up to about episode 7, need to get back to it.

One of the things I really like about Cowboy Bebop is the soundtrack, it just amazing how much work has gone into it all.

Read the original comic and watch the 2006 Japanese live action movies those are just as good too and ignore Death Note 2017 it sucks.

I started watching the anime series from 2006 on netflix and I was aware of Death Note 2017 but have only heard bad things about that. I was interested in watching One Piece but was slightly put off by how many episodes there are of it, and I believe it's still ongoing.

The Japanese live action Death Note movies are better they are considered masterpieces in Japan because they stay true to the original comic with only a few changes and the first movie came out before the anime.

I'm gonna sound like a total dudebro, but i recently started watching a couple of anime on Netflix - One Punch Man and Castlevania. One Punch Man i thought was so good i ended up binging the entire season in one go. I really related to the main character Saitama and found the writing hilarious, almost died laughing at some points. Castlevania seems pretty good so far, decent characters and such, but it seems weirdly slow. Already finished the first season and not much has happened, was kind of hoping to have seen Frankenstein's monster or medusa heads or something by now. Too focused on the backstory of a game franchise that was always about tough-as-nails difficulty and varied enemy design. Also the lack of a Japanese audio option feels kind of weird.

Has anyone watched any of the sports anime, I've heard hajime no ippo is pretty good, it's about a young boy who gets bullied then meets a boxer who takes him to a gym and there he starts learning how to box.

One Punch Man i thought was so good i ended up binging the entire season in one go. I really enjoyed castlevania when I watched it last year, I like the voice work for the main character, its done by a really good british actor. I just wish they'd hurry up and make more.

See, while i can kind of understand that, i feel like so long as the writing remains the same that's the major thing that matters. What makes the show so good is its plot and pacing. I'm going to reserve judgement until i actually see the next season, but that's just me.

Nah, i checked, and as far as i could see it didn't seem to have one, which was odd.

Yeah, one punch man has always been about the writing, even back when it was a crudely drawn web comic.

To me that's often the reason i'll enjoy something, visuals don't generally mean as much to me as relatable, realistic characters and well-paced plot.

Do you watch most of your anime on Netflix?

That does seem to be where i encounter most of it, although it's not the only place i watch it. Like my favourite anime is Jojo and that's not on Netflix. Found that on Crunchyroll.
