Super don't worry about me. It was a few days years ago, trip to emergency pharmacy sorted me out.
I just know how horrendous pain can be and can't imagine it continuing for months/years.
I'm happy to hear that you are doing better now. It's been going on about 3 weeks, the longest I have had this kind of pain for sure.

chronic pain sucks. Last night my body was not tolerating being in bed. Just wandering around the house. Ice has been helping my lower back. My tmj was intense- heat helped that. So hot packs and cold packs. 🤦‍♀️😂 whatever it helps.

@AvidFan - if you don’t get some sleep tonight, I am going to talk to you. I have special powers- I talk, others nod off. 🤣 I hope you have a better night.

I just heard there is a meteor shower visible in my area the next few nights. So I can wander around outside looking for “shooting stars.” 💫 💫💫💫

Too much light pollution where I am for that sort of thing. When I lived at the coast in a rural setting, the sky was so much clearer and I saw the odd shooting star. Sometimes I'd go out in the freezing winter just to look at the sky.

You might have to talk to me then! Had yet another bad night, went to bed and my mind just started getting filled with anxiety, in the end I had to get up and take my tiny diazepam dose but it didn't really seem to make much difference. I did at least cut to .8mg from 1mg so this might explain it. I must have got a little sleep but I remember it taking ages to get off, getting up at 4.30am and other times, and generally feeling the old familiar frustration of feeling exhausted but unable to get any proper sleep. My heart rate seemed steadier, looking at my watch stats and did at least drop under 60 for several sustained periods. I hope I have enough charge left in me to get through work with a couple of meetings late in the day. Last Friday was quite horrific as I started feeling 0% in a meeting with 2 still to go and thought the tank was empty to the point of collapse. I rallied and recovered, but it's not good.

Was up late last night. When I lay my little guy down for the night I lay there as well, he likes to chatter. Last night I fell asleep too, woke up at 11.30p. How is it I sleep for 3hrs and feel refreshed but sleep through night and feel like crap in the morning?
Anyways I did some laundry, even folded it and put it away lol
@Witty_Sarcasm for neck, shoulder and back pain it helps to press the handle of wooden/plastic spoon or edge of a hard chair for massaging.

Thank you for letting me know that, I'll have to give it a try sometime :)

Went to bed sometime before 10pm. Just got up slightly after 8.30am. Did not sleep for much of it - clock checks were like 1.17am, 3am, 4.30am, remember forcing myself to stay in bed instead of getting up out of frustration. Must have slept a bit, as I had one or two weird dreams I can remember, but I remember in early lockdown 2020, I went to bed at 6pm one night and was so exhausted I slept solidly until 12 lunchtime the next day - 18 hours of solid sleep. Now I'm going to bed exhausted and lying awake. Wish I could stop the worries going around in my mind, as soon as I get rid of one, another pops up in its place and it's awful. Going to try to spend the weekend resting and doing nice things. I pray to whatever power there is that I can get some deep, proper sleep soon.

Awake before 3am again.
Even though I had ramen noodles before bedtime, I still woke up hungry
I don't know how much of a part that plays in my insomnia, I suspect some, along with other factors
Maybe age
I can't gather my thoughts, so I'll stumble through another day

peace
:)
Maybe try some protein instead with or without a little fat content before bed instead of carbs if waking up hungry ☺️

I went to the pharmacy and bought some 50mg diphenhydramine tablets, appropriately called "Sleep Eaze". I used to use these a lot, but to the point I became dependent on them and was taking 2 every night at one point. Not had any for years so should at least make me drowsy. I will add to my nightly diazepam dose, and also plan to dose 20mg amitriptyline which also sometimes helps. Probably a bit risky but so is having 5 hours sleep out of a week.

I'm sorry to hear you only had 5 hours in a week. 2 years ago September I went 11 days without sleeping. I thought I was going to lose my mind and it scared the hell out me. I hope what you are going to try with adding the Benedryl will work for you*hug
